Team Leader - Hunter New England

We are looking for a motivated and innovative person with strong initiative, to help make a unique sector and social change contribution in a Team Leader role. If you are successful in securing this unique position ,you will be instrumental in enhancing the Deaf Society’s presence in the Hunter New England region, through increased engagement in the disability sector and identification of new and innovative service and support opportunities. You will also support a team of local support workers across the region to provide case management, planning and other services relevant to the customer’s needs.

Executive Assistant to the CEO - Permanent full-time position

We are currently seeking an Executive Assistant to support our CEO. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for the provision of high level administrative and secretarial support to the CEO, Board, Executive Managers and designated committees and cross functional teams. You will need to have the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines, demonstrated high level administration and communication skills and the willingness to learn Auslan to a proficient level.

Resource Development Officer - Education

As the Resource Development Officer your role will be to provide resources to all programs including hearing learners, deaf and hard of hearing learners, Auslan in the Home and School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES). You will be developing lesson plans for our new courses that align with student requirements and NDIS packages. To be successful you will need to have experinece in the disability sector, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Support Coordinator - Parramatta

The Deaf Society has been the leading provider of specialist services for deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing people and their families in NSW for over 100 years. Come and join us as we work towards exciting changes in preparation for the NDIS. We are looking for a motivated and innovative person with strong initiative, to help make a unique sector and social change contribution in a Support Coordinator position. Your role will be to support customers to work creatively and resourcefully in how they utilise their NDIS support budgets to achieve their goals. Your focus will be to further build the capacity of customers to choose preferred options or providers, resolve problems or issues that arise and understand their responsibilities under service agreements.

Coordinator - Facilities Management

We currently have a full time opportunity for a Coordinator—Facilities Management. You will be based in Parramatta to maintain and optimise excellent supports for our staff who are striving to provide excellent customer service.You will be responsible for maintaining strong working relationships with our vendors, suppliers and Building Manager. You will be responsible for maintaining efficient and well run offices in all of our Deaf Society office locations. You will be resolving and managing issues with our phones/internet, IT managed services, office space/equipment, air conditioning, pool car fleet and lighting.
